I am a highly qualified and experinced violinist, composer and teacher based in Sheffield, S11. I have a masters degree in violin performance
and a BA honours degree from the Universty of Huddersfield.
I also regularly run music workshops in museums, art galleries
and at festivals.
I have been leader of the Hallam String Quartet since 1996
and have played in many prestigious venues including Chatsworth House, Birmingham Symphony Hall and Sheffield City Hall.
I have taught violin in schools and privately for over 20 years.
I worked as a peripatetic violin teacher for Birmingham, Leicester, Wakefield, Derbyshire and Sheffield LEAs and in several
private schools, including Hymers College, Hull
and Rudston Preparatory School, Rotherham.
I have coached student chamber music groups,
conducted string ensembles and orchestras and lead string workshops, including Wider Opportunities instrumental classes.
